The Narrative

A full day (8 hour) immersion into Barcelona

Book Session

This is the experience for families who want to go all the way in. Eight hours across Barcelona means your story has genuine room to unfold: unhurried, unscripted, and entirely yours. A slow morning coffee, a wander through a market, lunch somewhere the locals actually eat, the afternoon light shifting on old stone walls, and the long golden hour at the water's edge. This isn't a photo session. It's a full Barcelona day, documented from first light to last.

The Experience

  • Duration: 8 Hours
  • Focus: Four to five hand-picked locations. Typically a neighborhood, a market or cultural stop, a landmark or park, and a beach or viewpoint; chosen together based on what your family actually loves doing and how you want your day to feel.
  • Style: The same invisible, documentary approach. No posing, no "look here." Just your family, living your Barcelona day, while I follow the light and the moments.

What's Included

  • 8 hours of coverage across multiple barrios and locations.
  • 150+ edited, high-resolution digital files with the ability to order prints.
  • A private online gallery delivered within approximately one week.

How the Day Flows

An 8-hour session has a natural rhythm, one that shifts and breathes as the day moves. That rhythm is exactly what makes the images feel lived-in rather than staged.

  • Morning arrival & introductions (15 min before)

We meet 15 minutes early, just as in any session. A few easy frames to warm everyone up. Kids especially need this window to forget I exist (and they always do).

  • First location: the neighborhood (approx. 2 hrs)

We start in a barrio as the city wakes up. This is where the storytelling begins: narrow streets catching the early light, market stalls setting out, the corner café where someone inevitably wants a pastry. The pace is yours. I work around you.

  • Second location: a market or cultural stop (approx. 1.5 hrs)

A mid-morning detour into somewhere with texture: La Boqueria from the side entrance, the Mercat de l'Abaceria in Gràcia, the antique stalls of Els Encants. Movement, colour, and the kind of incidental moments that make a gallery feel like a real day rather than a shoot.

  • Third location: a landmark or park (approx. 1.5 hrs)

After lunch, a change of scenery shifts the energy and gives the gallery visual variety. Parc de la Ciutadella in the afternoon, Montjuïc with the city below, or a rooftop terrace if the light calls for it. This middle chapter tends to be where the quieter, more intimate frames happen.

  • Fourth location: the finish (approx. 2 hrs)

We close at a beach or viewpoint, timed to the light. Barcelona's beaches in the late afternoon are something else; long shadows, warm tones, kids running at the water's edge. With two hours here instead of one, there's space to slow down, let things unfold, and make the most of that last golden hour. This is consistently where the session's defining images are made.

Recommended Location Combinations

Every family's day is different, but here are a few full-day sequences that work particularly well:

  • Gràcia → Mercat de l'Abaceria → Parc de la Ciutadella → Nova Icaria
  • El Born → La Boqueria → Parc de la Ciutadella → La Barceloneta
  • Poble Sec → Montjuïc → Els Encants → Mar Bella
  • Poblenou → Rambla del Poblenou → Mar Bella (for families who want a slower, more coastal feel throughout)
